We learned this morning that upcoming FPS Call of Duty: Black Ops will allow players to game in 3D, right out of the box, and in the interview below, Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia explains how 3D is more than just a gimmick in the game.

"The first thing that stands out is the weapons," Lamia says. "When I have stereoscopic 3D on; when I'm aiming down the sites, I'm actually aiming down the sights. I'm using the iron sights or using the red dot and painting a red dot actually on enemy players... It feels like I'm actually aiming, and using the stereoscopic 3D in a gameplay context. It's not just visually cool," he explains.
