The graphics may be blocky and last-last-gen, but the zombies in Minecraft are the most terrifying out there. Something about the way they moan and... hop... makes my blood run cold. (Also: The appearance of zombies in Minecraft usually means I'm about to die and lose my diamond pick-axe.) But you may need more realistic zombies. If so, I bring you Michael Louisseize's amazing smash-up of Left 4 Dead 2 and Minecraft, "Mines of the Living Dead."
According to Louisseize, the campaign will feature four levels, with free-roam areas, puzzles and a finale featuring a thrilling ride through a castle on a minecart. The finished product will feature more Minecraft-inspired skins, too: Hopping block-zombies forever!
I, for one, eagerly await the Mines of the Dead. Follow the progress on the Steam group or latch onto the Twitter feed.

Mods ARE available on consoles... they'll get your console banned from XBL or PSN...but they're available :).
