Cheats and Walkthroughs
Activision's soon-to-be blockbuster shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops will be playable in full, stereoscopic 3D. Specifically, the game will utilize active shutter 3D, so put away your blue and red paper glasses.
3D will be enabled as soon as the game launches, and will be usable in all game modes for the PC, 360, and PS3... all that's stopping you from enjoying the third dimension is your television. You'll need a 3D TV and the glasses that go with it to play the game with depth, in other words, almost everyone will be playing it in 2D, at least until 3D TVs become more common.
“Development of stereoscopic 3D began as an R&D project, but once we saw what the technology brought to the Call of Duty experience, what a great fit and how immersive it was, we knew that we had to develop it for Black Ops. Aiming down the sights of your weapons, flying in helicopters, rappelling down mountains, and moving through highly detailed environments are just some of the awesome experiences you will have in 3D with Black Ops,” says Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.
I haven't been super-impressed with the 3D gaming I've seen so far, but the Call of Duty franchise has always been so solid that I'm excited to give this a try. What about you guys? Who's psyched for some 3D Call of Duty?
