Electronic Arts’ upcoming franchise reboot Medal of Honor has generated the most pre-sales of any entry in the franchise to date, Electronic Arts announced today. Mighty impressive given that the series spans 11 years and over a dozen titles, and the game doesn't even come out for another two weeks.
No official numbers were revealed, and that's just as well considering there will be quite a few more orders placed before the game’s official release on October 12. EA will also most likely see a spike in pre-sales once PC gamers have had a chance to check out the open multiplayer beta, which starts October 4 and lasts through October 7.
Have you preordered Medal of Honor? Do you plan to?
Should the need arise, feel free to E-Mail me your tips, suggestions, and/or personal philosophies, or follow me on Twitter.

I canceled my preorder when I found out that I have no choice of whether I play as the talibahn in multiplayer. If they fix the multiplayer (i.e. remove talibahn, or give me the choice to never play as them) then I would be happy to buy this game. The campaign looks really good.

Weren't all the other games in the series Rated T? Why is this one Rated M? Seriously they are turning this modern combat genre into the music game genre. Both Activision and EA see the popularity of it and the just keep pumping out game after game that are all very similar. Over saturating the market just like they did with the music games. I'll just stick to Reach.

It helps when amazon.com and other offer $10 credit. They didn't used to ever do that so this is no surprise to me. Plus MW games are much more popular than the overdone WWII era. An in game DLC for weapon or look is a joke so I like credit, keep it up retailers!

It's just a game and " not reality ". You do remember what a digital video game is don't you ?
Something that is generated digitally and usually fictional and not real in any shape or form, that we play with others or ourselves for personal entertainment and enjoyment.
The fact, that you can either fight as good guy, or a bad guy has been common in lots of previous video games.
If you lived in another country you would love to see your side winning for once, even though it's fictional. How this game could ever offend anyone is totally beyond my comprehension. It's just a video game, nothing more.
" Politics " has no place in video games ! Let's keep it that way.

Ok seriously, i don't understand what all this drama about playing as a Taliban. It's not like they are making you insert bombs into kids or other messed up things. You're just using the avatar that is it. Besides would you rather have Americans killing Americans? That seems much more insulting and besides why if you people are so hurt by this, why haven't I heard complaints about playing as Nazi's in WWII Games? Did you forget the Nazi's killed millions upon millions of Jewish people? But no, no one complains about that, but put a Taliban and everyone is picking up their pitch forks and screaming foul. Please get over yourselves and just enjoy it for what it is, a game.

preordered, paid off, and can't wait.

I will never understand why people pre-order games. I've never had a problem picking a game up the day of release and the pre-order bonuses usually don't amount to much of anything(and more often then not end up as dlc).

I think that Medal of Honor will be better then Call of Duty. Not by sale numbers but as an actual game. That being said, i'm still getting both games

Nope, and I don't plan to. I have my fill of modern day shooters. The last one I got and will get for a while is BFBC2, might get the expansion this winter but thats it. Unless Battlefield 2 really blows me away.

well you get in the battlefield 3 beta if you get the medal of honor le so that's why I preordered it and dice is doing the multiplayer.
