Solving the Riddler’s dastardly puzzles in Batman: Arkham Asylum definitely provided a few hours of mind-twisting enjoyment, but how players went about finding them was fairly straightforward. So for Batman: Arkham City, the developers at Rocksteady Studios have built a new interrogation mechanic that will let the Dark Knight extract pertinent information from his foes. Before you ask, yes, it kind of involves his fists.
"The Riddler continues to taunt the Dark Knight with mind-bending puzzles and exploration challenges,” game director Sefton Hill tells PSM3 (via CVG), “but the location of his biggest secrets are known only to him and people he's told. Rather than unlocking their locations using maps, Batman will be able to scan a gang of thugs to find a potential informant."
Once the Batman has identified the stoolpigeon, he then has to wipe out his tighter-lipped pals in order to squeeze the details out of the squealer’s, presumably bloody, mouth.
"This is the guy you need to question, but first you'll have to take down all the other gang members while sparing the one you want. That can be tough when Batman's in a seamless FreeFlow combo chain" Hill explained.
I never felt bad bashing in the heads of the Joker’s twisted minions before, but now I get to claim its an integral part of my detective work? Sweet deal.

When The Punisher had 'interrogation' sequences (see torture) was pretty fun, could open a new layer to the gameplay

I just hope they improve the horrendous boss fights (if you can even call them that) from the first game. They also need to improve the story and writing elements, no offense to Mr. Paul Dini, but you kinda telegraphed the plot by spilling the beans not even half way through the game. I would like the story in Arkham City to have a more mature oriented story then the semi campy one they had in Arkham Asylum.
GatsuBlackSword
More things to make this game BAD A$$!!!
V_Translanka
I hope they'll be more like visual cues Batman picks up on rather than something like, "Oh, that guy's highlighted green, he's the informant!"
spider215

It will be kind of like that terrible punisher game that came out a few years ago but it won't suck. You can never go wrong with Batman beating information out of people. When you find yourselves in times of trouble ask yourself WWBMD?
reepga

The Emperor's Champion
So you get to lock people in a tiny room and growl "Whyuwannakilme!??" at them now?

I mean it's kind of neat. Kinda lame though if literally the only thing you do you disable him last and he tells you stuff... now if you had to press button combo's, like a mini-game, correctly to make him talk THAT would be cooler.
Bloody
Batman doesn't kill.. but he'll kick you in the throat.
erbren
Cool,it will be just like Splinter Cell Convection
