Sackboy! He delighted the world with LittleBigPlanet. Then disappointed us all with the delay of LittleBigPlanet 2, and now, he's appearing in 3D Dot Game Heroes! Playing as a pixelated version of the PlayStation 3's favorite mascot may not make up for a couple extra months of waiting for the big sequel, but it's a start.
"We can think of no more fitting a character to feature than one that has become synonymous with creativity and imagination in gaming: Sackboy," said Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales at Atlus. "Now, people who start up their copy of 3D Dot Game Heroes can begin their adventures through the grand Kingdom of Dotnia with one of gaming's most recognizable icons!"
Sacky isn't the only addition to the game -- fifty fan and staff created heroes, the ability to carry over certain swords in New Game+, and adjustments to the completion times for the Dash Circuit mini game have also been added, as well as bug fixes.
I liked 3D Dot Game Heroes a lot, but I played it as a dude who looks like Santa Claus, so I don't need no Sackboy!

For some weird reason after I read this article i thought to myself "Wouldn't it be cool if Sackboy had a cameo appearance in other games?" Then all of a sudden God of War popped into my head.

I don't need no Sackboy either. I made an arsenal of characters like Link, Ratchet and Clank, Isaac Clarke, Claptrap, and the main cast of Futurama.
I will have to pop the game back in and take a look at the additions though.

i bought it didnt like it so i returned it. just wasnt my style of gaming. though on a different note. i cant wait for Demons Souls 2 if there is one (because Atlus did Demons Souls one, is why i bring it up lol)

What a great game 3D Dot Game Heroes was. I had a blast with it. There was nothing that looked like it when it launched, now plenty of games are ripping it off. It was the ultimate tribute to Zelda. It was the sequel we never really got to A Link To The Past. Filled with humor, action, exploration and puzzles. One of my favorite games of the year for sure.
