When gamers first saw "Milo" at E3 2009, the vulnerable little computer boy quickly became the butt of endless internet jokes and speculation. But a few years later, when Peter Molyneux explained some of the possibilities of Milo, I, for one, began to take the whole thing more seriously. Sadly, today's rumor of the day, via Eurogamer, says that Milo, as a separate game, has been canned.
According to Eurogamer's unnamed source, 19 contractors working on Milo have been let go, and the two teams working on the project will focus on the Fable franchise. Lionhead will reuse the Milo tech for a "Fable themed Kinect game."
Lionhead and Microsoft responded with a standard issue: "Microsoft does not comment on rumour or speculation," so it looks like we'll have to wait a bit to see if this rumor is true. Luckily, the G4 RumorTron 8000 super-computer has been given this information and has determined that there is a 54.3 percent chance that this is true.
