If there's one thing that gamers have historically loved to do it's...move? Okay, well, maybe not, but there's no doubt that Kinect is going to ask us to do just that with Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. We had the chance to check it out at this year's TGS and returned to weigh in on how the game is shaping up.

"Aside from the training sessions, Fitness Evolved includes the usual complement of mini-games, which appear to meet the Wii Fit level of adequacy. Fitness Evolved calls them 'Gym Games,' and I saw one that had me punching on-screen boxes in a set pattern, and another where the player has to stack falling boxes on a virtual table to dump them into a pit and score points. Apparently, if you want to wage war on boxes, this is the game for you."

Shed a few pounds by checking out the Your Shape: Fitness Evolved preview.

I tried playing No More Heroes on my kids dust packed Wii and my arm started hurting, and that was that. (game looked good though)
video gaming is sitting and pushing buttons (no actual violence what so ever).

I am a PS3 owner and I believe Kinect has the potential to be awesome. I just picked up Move and I am very impressed with it (not so much the games, but the actual product is great). I can't wait to see what developers can do with these new interactive ways of playing games. No offense to the Wii, but now we will be able to see some hardcore games utilize this relatively new medium. I am excited for the next few years of gaming

K im confused how people are sayin that this isn't original alright well when using a wii ur using a controller right then the move ur using a controller oh and dont forget a camera so that means for everything it would more then 200 dollars for a move set that sucks right well with the 360's kinect u have no controller u are the controller thats pretty original thats not being done by anyother system and to say there not a variety is a lie cuz if u look at the 2011 releases there so much better then the moves which is a literal cop of the wii come on dont lie to urself the kinect is completly different and has more potential then the move cuz the wii already did everything and does it better please dont say nothin without knowin about it

Fitness wise the Kinect games will blow Wii games out of the water because you actually have to use your whole body to play it and you don't just sit on the couch and wiggle your arms around with this TV remote looking thing attached WITH A WIRE to a separate toggle attachment and you all know that when the Wii is on its side it looks like a DVD player and the ironic part about that is it doesn't play DVDs, Soon you will see Kinect games that are like those work out DVD commercials where you have to do all these extreme workouts they could totally do that if Kinect can like see you when your on the floor, The workout game would probably be like this one where it will tell you if your a little off and such I think they would make a lot of money.

@ps3 fanboyz your tiny hands sure do make that motion wand look big..

I would get Kinect when the head tracking is implimented into the FPS. like being able to look around the ledge without having your whole body exposed.. PS3 fanboyz with your tiny controller for your tiny hands.. you remind me of the buttcrack that act like Apple pc are worth the money.. ever since both windows and mac os started using the same hardware.. your not getting anything but a shiney screen for way tomuch. just so you can have limited capabilities that are easy for the simple minded to use. PC gamers that have consols have an Xbox.. because the controller and the way it works with FPS and Flight-racing games. the analog which gives you more control of the input is located at a much better location.. that makes for a better s expirience.. but thats the difference in asian games and western games we like having the inbetween that you don't get with the D pad

give kinect a chance, its something different and i know right now there only a bunch of crappy games now but give developer a chance, it will take them a few years to truly take advantage of the tech, but what do i care im saving my money for the nintendo 3ds, eff microsoft, nintendo is the best, and ps move is cool to.

Now, now son, you know the analyst are supporting MS prediction of 3,000,000 sales for Kinect. That's hardly a failure.

Now as for Move sales, well they aren't.

BTW, tour little friend, liquid swords, exactly what is original about Move sports and the rest of sonys crappy line up. The move is just a Wii rip-off, just like trophies is a rip-off of achievements.

This is the game where they showed that it can tell when you take off your jacket right? does that mean it will do the same when someone takes their pants off? I don't think I want to see digitized dong anytime soon...(on a side note why does the comment box type soo bloody slow? as I'm typing this it's still on digitized dong!)

So you can spend $150 on Kinect for this or $5 for a fitness video. Microsoft, I see what you're doing there.

I really think this has potential!

*sarcasm* Kinect is a joke to the gaming community.

Kinect is SUCH a fail. Enjoy your Wii shovelware Xbots. That's what you get for flaming such a great Nin console for so long. At least the Move is going to offer a variety of titles.
