We sit down with American McGee, creative director for Alice: Madness Returns, at the Tokyo Game Show to get the inside word on his upcoming dark fairy tale. As you probably remember, the original American McGee's Alice, established Alice as a young girl driven mad by the death of her family in a fire. Alice visits Wonderland to explore and conquer her emotions.  According to McGee, Madness Returns takes up where the last game left off.

"The second game is the narrative sequel to the first," McGee expllains. "We find Alice on the streets of London, still dealing with repercussion of past events, going out and interacting with the characters of that worldm to find out what happened on that fateful night. In many ways it's a murder mystery. She's tying to dive into that night and find out who or what it was that killed her family and, again, she's using Wonderland as a tool."
