Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will soon be getting a historical makeover thanks to the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. The expansion pack will introduce era-specific weapons, vehicles, and tunes, but as EA product manager Kevin Oleary told Abbie Heppe during Tokyo Game Show, the core gameplay that fans have come to know and love from the series will be very much intact.
“Since it’s an expansion, the core really stays tight. The vehicles, the destruction, the team play, the persistence, that’s all there. But it’s enhanced for this type of gameplay. So for example, the medic class, in Bad Company 2 you have a defib kit, but in this class, you have an adrenaline syringe. So it’s kind of those little tweaks and touches we do to make it feel like you’re more in that Vietnam era.”
