Team Ico has (finally) released a new trailer for their epic adventure title The Last Guardian, and boy, was it worth the wait. There are so many fantastic details in the video; I highly recommend watching it multiple times (if only to marvel at how damn affecting the relationship is between the little boy and his towering bird-dog creature is even though the trailer is less than two minutes long). If you aren’t misty eyed a little by the end of the trailer, perhaps this piece of info will do the trick: The Last Guardian is scheduled for release Holiday…2011.

I very much hope that the Last Guardian preserved justify my faith in video games ... It remains to wait for December 31, 2011 :-)

This to me looks like a previous gen game. The graphics are pixallated and the boys animation's look clunky. So, either the quality of the video they posted is low, or there's a reason that haven't shown much of this game - and why its gonna take another year for it to come out.
And that is an honest opinion - don't hate because you love whatever the creators of Ico/SoC come out with.

It looks like an action/adventure/puzzle game. I really hope this game does well. But by holiday 2011, I have a strong feeling it will get lost amongst all of the blockbuster games that will be out around the same time.

Mainstream 360 wannanabees can have that FPS D-Bag online stuff.
I'd rather have games like this, Ico, & Shadow of the Colossus.

Honestly, looks kinda.... well, dull. Don't hate me, just making an honest observation.
I am an FPS kinda guy, though, maybe just need to be in a more mellow mood. Never played Shadow of the Colossus or Ico before, either. Still, have a (crappy non-backwards compatible slim version) PS3, and with them being re-released, and the amount of praise they get, will have to look into them if the price is right. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Dang i thought we were in a recession and unemployment was the highest its ever been and yet that white flying rat from the neverending story got a job after so many year, well ill be damned. But seriously what are we supposed to do in the game? im guessing ride the flying rat and kill enemies but were are the guns?

if this is anything like shadows or ico ill get, and i got this weird sad feeling thats how all the Colossus started out, as some guys pet.... i feel bad if thats so lol

I really don't see why everyone's so psyched about this game. All I really see in it are visuals, but I can care less for those. Other than that, I see no point to the game. On another note, what is wrong with the kid's clothes. They're going INSANE.

That blows that we have to wait another year, but it only means the game will be even better. And I can guess that Team Ico is probably heading up the HD collection of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, so that's probably gonna eat up some of their time table. Oh well, hopefully a demo might be released by the spring or so (maybe even be included with the Team Ico Collection). At least we'll have Majin and the Foresaken kingdom to keep us occupied.
