All I could say after I watched this new police chase trailer for Criterion Games’ latest brain-busting racing title Need for Speed Hot Pursuit was, “Glarghsdhidfoifier.” (It busted my brain, remember?) Anyway, check out the new trailer for yourself, and witness just another crazy day in the life of police officers lucky/unfortunate enough to live in a Criterion-created universe.

wow, this game trailer changes my mind in a negative way, didnt they just release an online only need for speed. Then why do I have to deal with it in tis one. I want a solid single player experience, not more online crud.

Whatever happened to build a car race, customize, buy more cars, get cash, race and run from the cops not play as them, and yeah i agree it looks to easy. and just curious but if u do this are u actually going to make the cop car or cars if there is more then one, customizable?? and not super OP.

This NFS is amazing! I hope the have co-op or split screen/vs modes offline and online.

A get rich quick scheme by EA. They know Criterion's games sell, and they know the NFS franchise is on life support due to some terrible releases (Pro Street and Undercover).
The problem for me, is that Burnout Paradise was pretty cool and this looks like a very simple game - a relapse in innovation if you ask me. The co-op stuff in Burnout Paradise was great, and I would have loved to see do more with it.
But this game is just a simple old school racer, really. And honestly, haven't we had enough freaking police chase games? I was sick of them by the time I got Midnight Club LA.
Oh, and we all know how Criterion LOVES rubberband AI...get ready to lose a cop and have him slingshot right back behind you instantly. fun, huh?

I grew up on Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 3. If this game comes close to the feel of that then I'm sold.

I love Criterion but I am not excited for this game, it looks too easy to takeout an opponent, all you have to do it tap them and they wreck.

you say the law wins big. i say they lose in a big ass lawsuit. the cop will be fired and sued worse than anything i have evwer seen. killing race drivers. c'mon. the game looks amazing though. its hust funnyto think of the game that way

Can't wait for this game! The old school one rocked and was one of my favorites. Just hoping they stick to a realistic speed for the cars, which it looks like they prolly won't. I always hate it when you can go from 1-100 in 1 second.
