At a TGS showcase in Tokyo last night, Capcom announced Dead Rising 2: Case West, standalone DLC tied to the upcoming Dead Rising 2. An epilogue to the main game, Case West will see the return of Dead Rising hero Frank West, who will work alongside Chuck Greene as Greene seeks out evidence to clear his tarnished names—oh, and also kills hundreds upon hundreds of shambling zombies.
“When we say [Case] West, of course we mean the Frank West you all know and love,” said producer Keiji Inafune at the event. “When we first started talking about Dead Rising 2, we had a lot of questions: ‘Where’s Frank? Why didn’t you bring Frank back?’ We made you wait a little bit, but we’re happy to say that Frank will be back.”

Vancouver-based developer Blue Castle Games will be working with Inafune on this latest bit of DLC, as they did on Dead Rising 2 and the Case Zero DLC released earlier this month (which has already sold more than half a million copies). Inafune announced that Capcom likes the working relationship with Blue Castle Games so much, they are acquiring the company and rebranding it Capcom Game Studio Vancouver.
Like Case Zero, Case West will be exclusive to the Xbox 360, although Inafune did not say whether the exclusivity would be permanent—nor did he specify a release date.
