Tecmo Koei announced last night during Tokyo Game Show 2010 that Ninja Gaiden 3 is currently in the works. The game will be the first of the series to be developed since the highly publicized departure of Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki.
Not much is known about the new threequel, and, as GamePro reports, Team Ninja was only willing to show off a piece of concept art because the game is still in the early development stages. Team Ninja head Yosuke Hayashi said more details should be coming early next year.

i loved the xbox version of 2 the ps3 i didnt like due that they removed all the gore. the art show they are going back to the blood soaked awesome fest of 2 thats good BUT they have to fix the camera like they should have for sigma 2 no boob jiggle just because im a guy that likes blood and gore in my games dosent mean i need a game that lets me jiggle boobs

i was hoping for dead or alive 5 or even a reboot of doa. im kind of sick of ninja gaiden. and this should be multi-platform instead of xbox only. i really don't see this game being any different from ni nja gaiden 1 or 2.

Well and here I was thinking Ninja Gaiden was done with Itagaki not being in charge. So much for selling the previous games.
Well naturally I'll be getting the game, hopefully it'll still be as good as the others and NOT as freaking cheap as NG2.

Having played the first 2 Ninja Gaiden, I think it's fair to say that the second one did not suck. The achievements (e.g., playing through the game using only 1 weapon MULTIPLE times) sucked donkey schlong, but I know I will never forget my struggle with Alma on the hardest difficulty from the first one. Took me forever only because I had 1/4 of my health with no potions. Finally beat her without losing any health.
It's challenges like those that get me excited for a game, which I'm sure there will be many.

What they SHOULD do is take the Ninja Gaiden games from NES and update them, like what was done with Bionic Commando. That would be amazing!

i loved Ninja Gaiden Black, and I liked Ninja Gaiden 2. But they need to change it up for Ninja Gaiden 3. I really hope this turns out well.
