Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream’s skillfully crafted psychological thriller that redefined how gamers everywhere feel about the name Jason, was originally intended to have motion controls, but the developers weren’t able to make that happen. However, thanks to the PlayStation Move, and a new patch being released on September 22, David Cage’s vision for the game will finally be realized.
If you don’t have Heavy Rain, but you’re planning to pick up Move, you can check out the Move-enabled demo when it hits PlayStation Network on September 28. Still no word on whether the Heavy Rain Move edition, which is being released in Europe in October (complete with “The Taxidermist” DLC, XMB themes, the game’s soundtrack, and making-of videos), will be landing stateside, but I would find it hard to believe if it wasn’t released here sometime before the end of the year.
Our own Dana Vinson took the Move version of Heavy Rain for a spin, so check out her verdict to see if Move adds enough to justify another playthrough.

I wonder if the Move controls will be just a simple up-and-down motion of the wand during the Madison strip scenes.

I already have the Platinum in this game, but I might buy Move day 1 just to play it again.
