THQ's Red Faction: Armageddon will be released in May 2011. The sci-fi shooter is in development at Ignition, and takes place under the surface of Mars, where colonist struggle to survive in the harsh environment. In the game, an ancient evil is released, and Armageddon is put in effect. Sounds promising to me.

I wasn't a fan of the communist tone of RFG, but it didn't have goddamn MONSTERS, it was about rebelling against the government/corporations.

Cool. We've ditched the yawn-tastic sandbox environments which only half use the original idea of destructibility. Seriously, did the devs even so much as see a trailer for the original games? Wait, my bad. I forgot it's too much to ask that people do research and know what they're doing these days. I keep neglecting the remember the existence of any prior games or related material doesn't implicitly indicate an established canon. Damn, my bad again. Yeah, it does. I'll put it this way, just because you can change your lead singer, or any other member, and keep the same name does not mean it's the same band!
