The still unconfirmed/likely to be confirmed soon HD remastered collection featuring Team Ico’s beloved epics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus is currently available for preorder over at Walmart.com. If you really feel like taking the retailer’s word for it, the collection will be released in April for $40.
Team Ico will be showing off its latest project, The Last Guardian, this week during Tokyo Game Show 2010, so perhaps an official announcement will incoming shortly. And by that I mean I’m fully expecting some official word about the collection this week. Our own Kevin Kelly is on the ground at TGS so if anything happens, you’ll be the first to know.
The HD remake rumors have been in the wind for some time now, helped in no small part by a supposed info leak back in May that pointed to Q1 2011 for the collection’s release. April would certainly fall around that time. I've reached out to Sony to see what's what, so stay tuned.

I could not be more excited! Despite the fact that I already own both games. They are two of my all times favorites and an HD reboot will make them even more beautiful than they already are!

I replayed Ico recently and fell in love all over again. Its still my favorite game of all time and I really want to see what it will look like in HD.

I can't wait. I've played Shadow of the Colossus, but never played Ico. From what I've heard, it's pretty much the best thing ever, so I'm pretty excited about this.
Does anyone else think that it's a little sad that some of the best games released this generation are games re-released from the past generations? Crash Team Racing, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Call of Duty, God of War collection, Sly collection, Team Ico collection, Battlefield 1943, The Orange Box, etc.

I love that Sony is being so good to their fans with these collections. I fully intend to buy this! Now I'm just waiting for a box of all the metal gear solid games (and I'd also like the original Metal Gear games on there, and the PSP games!)

this makes me laugh. I'm an Xbox fan but I played these games back when they were released and so many PS diehards didn't bother to take a chance on them. they basically have to be told "these are awesome games and you should play them." I hated the ps2 but I loved these games.

My hopes are extremely high that this HD collection is coming out, I love this Idea SONY has, considering some these games (like ICO and SOTC) I have yet to play add that to the possibility that The Last Guardian is going to be at TGS (with a possible release date in 2011) man this is going to be awesome.

Heard about this over the weekend. Never played ICO, but I'm definitely looking forward to this collection. Especially HD Shadow of the Colossus!
