Sony announced today that Guerilla Games’ upcoming shooter threequel Killzone 3 now has an official release date: February 22, 2011.
I spent some hands-on time with the new and improved multiplayer mode during Gamescom, and really liked what I saw. The game is on the show floor at PAX Prime this weekend, so if you’re in the area, stop by and check it out.

ill tell you right now, i waited over an hour to play the multi - and i dont think it was worth it. my friends and i all agreed, it was still really clunky. however, i did get a sweet tote bag and tshirt. if you are going to be at pax, play the single player instead. line is MUCH shorter and they have 3D! plus you get way more time with the campaign

The one reason why I love Killzone multi-player so much is because it's different than playing CoD and Halo. I have those games and I don't want to buy another game with similar multi-player. I can't wait for this game.

Hope that this makes for a great fourth Killzone game, seeing as how the previous three were awesome nonetheless, even with some issues.

Killzone 1 was good, but it had issues. Killzone 2 was awesome! Best PS3 shooter. It's online was incredibly fun, but it also had issues. Killzone 3 looks okay, it seems a bit to much like a remake of K2 and it's Move and 3D capability seem more like gimmicks than game play enhancers. It looks good, but I need something new to the series.

The first one was fantastic. The multiplayer especially was amazingly fun. It looked at what Call of Duty was doing and how everyone was copying it and said "No, we are going in a different direction". It did not feel or look like COD and it was still 100% more fun. You had to actually earn your kills, you weren't handed them like in CoD.
You couldn't snap to aim like a baby would in CoD, you had to work for your kills and boy was it rewarding when you pulled it off. It was hectic, fast, challenging, and above all, FUN. It was hands down the best mutliplayer game in years and all they have done is made it bigger and better for Killzone 3. So, needless to say, I CAN NOT WAIT!
Did I mention to game is gorgeous and blows everything else away??
