Epic Announces

Epic Games announced a new title for Apple iPhones and iPads. The game, codenamed "Project Sword," was shown off to the Apple faithful at a special Apple event this morning by Epic's Mike Capps.

The action/adventure game is playable both single and multiplayer, and uses Apple's just-announced Game Center feature to create a games where players take on the role of monsters and battle each other for monster-supremacy.

"If you're jaw isn't on the floor, it should be," Capps said of the game's visuals.

It will be out on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch "this holiday season."

For a more in-depth discussion of Apple's announcements, make sure you watch Attack of the Show today at 4PM Eastern and Pacific. AOTS's The Loop will feature TechCrunch writer MG Siegler discussing the Apple news and what it means to the industry and you, the consumer.

well if the image you used at the top is an actual game photo, then I have to say it's a lot more impressive than Rage for Iphone. And I'm guessing the controls are going to work a lot better since I'm guessing it'll use finger swipes for sword slashing action.
But I still have to wonder why not spend this time and effort making a PSPgo, DSi, or 3DS game? Actually come to think of it if it works how think it's going to work, why not develop this game on the consoles and make it use motion controls (put it on the Wii, PS3, and 360)

I don't know, after seeing Id putting out Rage on the iPhone, this just seems less impressive

That is one sexy looking game.

I'm also REALLY digging the new Nano model...but...it's design, and really, functions, make the Shuffle completely obsolete now... :/

I mean, it was ALWAYS sort of low on the totem pole, but this gives it a new low...
