This holiday season is going to be a real wallet-killer for geeks. Within just a few days of each other, you're going to have staples like The Back to the Future Trilogy, The Goonies, and The Alien Anthology coming to Blu-ray. Well, we're going to have to dig a bit deeper, because you can add the Apocalypse Now: Full Disclosure Edition to that mix.
What is that, you might ask? Well it includes the original Apocalypse Now, the 2001 extended edition Apocalypse Now Redux and, what has me excited the most, Eleanor Coppola's feature-length Hearts of Darkness documentary. It's an excellent look inside the making of an epic gone awry, and should be required viewing in film school. It's worth the price of the set alone.
I know. I'm already saving pennies and eating tuna sandwiches every day just so I can afford all of these.
