Remember Parasite Eve? The last game in the the survival-horror series came out for the Playstation way back in 2000, and now, these many years later, Square Enix is revisiting the franchise with The 3rd Birthday for the PlayStation Portable. But this isn't the game series you remember.
From Jem Alexander's preview:
"Whereas the original Parasite Eve games were a blend of survival horror and RPG, The 3rd Birthday is more of a third person shooter. The graphical style is reminiscent of Silent Hill, but there all similarities end, as the gameplay consists of taking cover, managing ammo and rolling out of harm's way."

i dont own a psp but its cool there contuing the story,but it would have been awesome on a console i bet :P

It would be nice to see parasite eve 1 and 2 in the sony games library and I don't know why they would not do this on on ps3 as well it a head scratcher

Sony sucks... why couldn't they put this on the PS3. why the stupid PSP??? Parasite Eve 1 & 2 were console games, why would you want to put this on that worthless handheld...

I hope this game does well. Then maybe Square-Enix will bring do another Vagrant Story. Vagrant Story was one of the best Square-Enix games for the PS1. It's too bad nobody played it.

lame lame lame..... why bring the title back if you want to change so much? and SE can't do 3rd person shooters.... dirge of cerbursuck anyone?
