Age of Empires Online Beta Sign Ups Begin

Microsoft's Age of Empires Online, the latest installment in the long running strategy series coming exclusively to Games for Windows Live, won’t be out until sometime next year, but Microsoft is currently accepting beta applications for those who can’t wait another minute to assemble a new stylized empire of their own, one click at a time.

The closed beta is now underway, and more testers will be selected over the coming weeks. So if you want to contribute to making Age of Empires Online the best that it can be, head over the beta sign up page and…well, sign up.

Microsoft revealed the first details about the upcoming PC title during Gamescom last week.

Anyone participating in the beta? How is it so far? Anyone still waiting to hear back?

so i dont know if its cuz im using chrome but i dont see it. It says sign up for the beta and then just tells me how to install the game. No button for sign up here etc

Just signed up. I am not sure how I feel about all of these games that are going "online only" like Company of Heroes just did. I still like single-player experiences and don't need them trying "hook me on their crack" like all of those other free-to-play games do. I enjoy playing games just because they are fun, I don't play Farmville because that is just slave labor digitized. Screw that persistent online crap.

.... Im going to sign up for it, but I'm calling it now: ITS GOING TO FAIL! without Ensemble Studios behind the game, it just won't be the same...

ha, if sign up time affects anything I have at least a week on the rest of the Feed horde.Sseriously though, I really hope I get chosen, AOE rocks!
