Hothead Games’ hilarious downloadable RPG DeathSpank only came out last month, but Electronic Arts announced today that the sequel, DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue, will be coming to PlayStation Network ($14.99) on September 21 and Xbox Live Arcade (1200 Microsoft Points) on September 22.
Thongs of Virtue finds the titular hero in search of six mystical thongs that were once part of a plan to bring peace and balance to the universe. In order to stop the corruption wrought by the tiny undergarments from spreading, DeathSpank must track them down and destroy them. Helping players on their journey are two new playable sidekicks: Sparkles the Wizard and the “ninjatastic Kung Fu” expert Steve, both of which can be played by a second player in the game's new local co-op mode.
"Bigger, longer, harder--these were the words that drove us while we created the follow up to our introduction to the DeathSpank universe," said Hothead games director of game development Vlad Ceraldi. "In T.O.V., we're taking action RPG fundamentals and adding loads of new creatures, environments, weapons and characters, while continuing to push the envelope with our signature humor."

I just recently bought both the deathspank games and upon reaching this GAME KILLING glitch started searching for answers and found this!! WTF!!! I know it's a DLC game but I PAID FOR IT AND DEMAND JUSTICE!!! DEATHSPANK STYLE JUSTICE...lol... seriously though G4... please report on this and lets get it out there!! ty for your time!!

I bought and enjoyed the first game but this is disappointing. I'm hoping there are some fun/exciting changes and not just "more Deathspank." (as great as it was, this is only good news for people who absolutely LOVED that game)
There's just too much quality content to release the same game twice. I'd rather get Shank, Scott Pilgrim, And Yet It Moves, Dive, Costume Quest, Castle Crashers, Hydrophobia or anything from the Summer of Arcade. (and I'm sure I'm forgetting something)
It's only 15 bucks but i cant afford to buy Deathspank again. How about a discount for people who purchased the first game? I feel kind of ripped off.. (especially once they offer a package deal for both)

The 1st was awesome! After fighting the final boss I was so bent on continuing on but then 'to be continued....' Arrgh!! It was worth every penny and I'm ready to drop some more hard earned cash for part 2.

You know, all it takes is a bit of willpower to resist buying every decent game on its release date when you know you really shouldn't. Making solid games at affordable prices too often shouldn't really be something to criticize a developer for, hehe.

Seems pretty early....but if it has as much game time like the original had, if not more, then it may be worth the 15 bucks. I just hope there's actually new things in it. Honestly, if it's the same exact game as the original for $15....then I might wait for a price drop.

Yes, its a good game. Yes it is (was) worth the $15 spent on it. But every 2 months?! C'mon guys will you STOP IT already? EA (and other major companies) really believe that gamers have endless pockets. It would have been GREAT if it was $5 for those who had already purchased the 1st Deathspank as a gesture of good will, but this so soon after the first installment is a gesture of another kind!

Also I�m really happy for the sequel but I was hoping for it to be DLC because that means I will have to start from level 1 all over again (I�m level 20 and have the entire dragon armor)
