TOO LITTLE TOO LATE----YOU STILL SCREWED UP THE GAME CONCEPT---GET A REAL GAME DEVELOPER TO PRODUCE A GAME, NOT A SECOND HAND COMPANY THAT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THERE DOING

I would rather RTW tell me when the game will be shutting down than having them tell me it'll be all right, when I know it wont.

Come on, RTW, let me in on an approximate date so I can sell my cash for more game time.

I play APB. It is not my main MMO of choice, but I am involved with a Top 10 clan on one of their North American servers. The game itself has a lot of bugs... some of which should have been squashed a long time ago. They are also changing a lot of things and *seem* to be moving away from a sandbox-type game and more towards a structured approach to PVP.

Bottom line: This game needs work. I'm going to stick with it as long as I can, but if some core issues don't get sorted out fast, I'll bail out.

This is a shame. I know someone there that's been made redundant along with a lot of the staff there. I think it's also Dundee's only games studio.

Who's idea was it to make an MMO totally based of PVP anyway? That's trusting other players! Does no one who runs the company play multiplayer shooters?

And the science gets done and we make a neat gun for the people who are still alive!

when I got this game I gave it to my friend for 40 bucks because the game is BS and even with the patches this game is not worth paying for every month

How many MMO's do people (that work for a living) need to play? How many of us have a checking account that we pay our bills (Xbox live PS3 premium.etc)on. This should have beed an single player game WITH mutiplayer. Dedicated servers or not. Hell it would have done better if it was released on the PS3/Xbox 360! then the PC. Folks are trashing this game on youtube .etc, It's not a good game to pay every month. At least if it came out for the game systems with multiplayer they would have more $$$, 49-60 bucks each game sold.

I play this game about 5-10 hours a week and it is definitely worth the money, there is no question... how many other games do you get to drive your car 100+ mph and then jam the brakes and drift right through your enemy sending his ragdoll flying 20 feet in the air through the street?

Nothing is quite as exhilarating, let me tell you, in any other game that I've ever played, let alone a first person shooter.

I don't want to try and sell the game to anyone here. I just think it's premature to say it's dead. There are still a few thousand people playing at least, and loving it. If you like counter-strike, you can like this game pretty easily. It has a bunch of sweet weaponry, upgrades, and the vehicles are totally customizable and badazz.

It can be frustrating at times because you dont always get matched up against people your level but that is one of the things being addressed right now in the patches.

I'd give the game a 8 out of 10 and if they fix a few things it'd easily be a 9. If you have 50 bucks to spare and a few friends to play this game with, it really doesn't get much better.

The idea behind this game is amazing and the game is pretty close to one of a kind. Once it's tweaked and they add in Chaos Districts (where its 40 crims vs 40 enforcers) that is going ot be SICK!!!

    RIP APB: 2010-2010

Don't sugarcoat it, guys. Just let it die in peace with what little dignity it still has after launch.

I think APB is supremely fun with friends and the only reason why my friends stopped playing were the exact things that they are going to be fixing!!! I really hope that with this update, things turn around for Realtime worlds.

I played the game for awhile and it was fun, but it got boring after a while and became very frustrating. you cant see how much damage you are doing to other palyers. the ranking is garbage which you lose if you lose enough times and you dont gain anything when you level up. You dont get any stronger or your abilities do not increase. it's basically a 3rd person shooter. The missions are repetitive. if they can make changes in those areas i might come back. I still have like 40 unused hours. i would like to see the game get better and it can if they are serious in making changes and huge patches are necessary. I do like the way you can pay to play. i wish other MMO's had that option. I dont have time to play all the time due to work and find myself paying for time i don't use. The game has good ideas but not being fully utilized. I think they need to hire a couple people who have true MMO experience. the game does not have to be like wow or EQ2 but should have some MMO elements at least.

This is really sad. I wanted this game to be really good, but I guess it just didn't play its cards right.

APB is my "main" MMO. I don't have a lot of time. I have a full time job.

I come home, grab some beer and I shoot at things and get shot at. The action is fast paced and fun. I work in law enforcement in reality and in reality you have to be really nice to criminals. In this game, I don't have to be really nice to them.

    Its relaxing and fun.

I don't want it to go away.

I heard it's being run by a skeleton crew. They disabled their anti-cheat measures and everything is in anarchy in that game.

It's just like they advertised now!

Might as well let the game finish rolling over and dying so they can save at least SOME money after the impending bankruptcy they'll have coming.

After the news of their financial woes, I get the feeling like they might have known that they were sinking into the hole way before APB came out, which may explain why APB is lacking in so many areas. They might not have had any choice but to cut back on fleshing out the game and release it early so they can try and save themselves.

I can't really blame them for that, I just wish APB lived up to it's potential.
