Today, Sony announced that a PlayStation 3 with a 320 GB harddrive is coming. The new PS3 will be bundled with Move, a Playstation Eye camera, a copy of Sports Champions, and bonus Blu-ray game demo disc for $399.99
The smaller PS3 will feature a 160 GB drive and will run you $299.99.
Here's an interesting quote from Sony's press release:
"With the launch of PlayStation Move just around the corner, we're expecting many new consumers to join the PlayStation family. The PS3 Sports Champions Move bundle provides those families with everything they need to get into motion control gaming at a great value, with the 320GB model PS3 system as the centerpiece of the package," said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of product marketing. "Also, as PlayStation Network continues to evolve with exciting new services, the hunger for digital content grows; these larger storage capacities address that demand and encourage consumers to take full advantage of the complete PS3 experience."
It's obvious Sony is aiming this release squarely at families. My question: You're all in families, right? If you didn't already have a PS3, would your family drop nearly 400 bucks on a Move-enabled system? Mine would, at my urging, but the difference is, I make half the income, so I can make those kinds of decisions.

Not really interested in the move aspect.... but I am interested in the extra storage space. I've been holding out on buying a PS3 until DC online comes out, and since it's around the corner I think this might be it. Wondering if there will be any other packages with the 320 gb model...

Does anyone have trouble getting their HDMI to work on OTHER TV's besides the Sony HD TV's? Every time I try to use one on my LG TV, my PS3 spazes out and won't play the video correctly. I have the newer 40 Gig Machine that I've had about 2 years now and it still won't run the older games correctly nor will it correct the graphics properly on the TV. It's completely 1080P Compatible but I've been having to run my 1080P through Component Cable and it just doesn't look as good. Is this a common issue and is there anyway for me to fix it?

I guess the people that don't understand the storage capacity, graphics, multi-media, fee online option, and 3D cappabilities can buy the 360 kinects bundle with its massive 4gb hd, high faliure rate and costly online for around the same price.
