Tropico 3 Review

I was talking to my BFF Fidel Castro the other day and he said, "Dana, there's, like, nothing more fun than being the dictator of a small island nation," and I said, "I know, right?! Like, that's why I love playing Tropico 3." Then we talked about our Facebook friends behind their backs, braided hair, smoked cigars and disarmed small nuclear weapons. It was really a splendid afternoon.

Speaking of splendid, X-Play's Morgan Webb recently took a look at Tropico 3: Absolute Power. Morgan originally reviewed Tropico 3 for us and decided to take the expansion pack for a spin:

"There are 10 new missions in the expansion, and their specific objectives help the player learn about certain building types and objectives. The first mission has you satisfying a party-hungry populace with reggae festivals and water pipes, and your success is measured by the overall happiness of the population. You learn about the entertainment facilities available, and you gain an understanding of how to evaluate and raise average happiness. In the next mission, your resource-poor island must build a thriving tourist industry in order to survive, but don’t forget to pay attention to agriculture or some of your beloved citizens may not show up for work because they’re too busy starving to death (not that this happened to me, I mean, I love my citizens, some of them just died of...um...being too fashionably skinny? Yeah...that’s it...)."
