Recently I have realized that several major players from other entertainment mediums such as authors and creative minds behind movies or comic books are getting involved in video game design and creation.

Some examples are highly acclaimed fantasy author along with comic book/ toy mastermind R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane, respectively working together at 38 Studios on new IP Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning. The Witcher is a direct 'port' of a fantasy novel into video game form, Crysis 2's narrative is being commandeered by award winning author Richard K. Morgan, and writer Steve Niles along with film director/producer John Carpenter are working closely on F.E.A.R 3's storyline and cutscene development.

Do you see this continuing to happen in the future of video games and what kind of effect will it have on the video game industry? I think most games' storyline/lore portion is the weakest aspect and having strong external creative and imaginative minds joining in on the creation of video games will be extremely beneficial to the overall immersion and success of these games.

I think that Sucker Punch should stop listening to their crazy fans and just go with the new look they gave him when they first unveiled Infamous 2. They had a good idea and now it looks worse than ever because of their relentless fans. I do understand that they want to keep a good fan base and that's why they changed his looks again.
I tend to pay more attention to the gameplay rather than complain about when the main character is wearing different clothes. It's not like they gave him an afro and floppy clown shoes; they gave him hair, a different shirt, and new pants. Woopdee Fricking Doo!!!

I have played this inFamous and I like it very much.

All I want to know is why do you think that everyone is freaking out about Cole's looks when they should be stunned at the beautiful job that Sucker Punch has done to their game?

I'm surprised so many people are asking about Kingdom Hearts 3. The answer was given at E3 by the Square-Enix Rep who was there. He said Kingdom Hearts 3 was not in development. He said he had half his team working on Kingdom Hearts Recoded for 3DS and the rest of his team was working on Final Fantasy titles. He said eventually the game will get made but he didn't know when and they just don't have anyone available to make it.

I recently saw the front cover of a magazine here in the UK called Edge and it posed the question, Microsofts Kinect, the future of gaming or the 32x of 2010?

What do you guys think? I think its probably going to be the next 32x unless microsoft can pull a rabbit out of the hat and come up with some amazing games instead of the rubbish they showed at E3.

With the recent announcements of Resistance 3 and Bioshock Infinite. I realized that companies like to toucher gamers with the lack of information of a sequels. Like Resistance 3, What I mean is that companies don't tell you about a sequel until months even years later. Now the question i have for you is should companies considered tell gamers that the a sequel is coming out and that they need to give a hint on the games release. A example of a game that did that was Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty

With EverQuest2 becoming free to play this week (i.e.) EQ2 Extended we've seen another p2p mmo adopt the f2p model.

With that said How do you feel about the seemingly strict limits posed on free players vs the paid players who also play on the same server.

my question is, how important is online multiplayer to video games?
just give me a broad guess of percentage wise, because i actually do not play online at all, it just seems ludicrous to have to pay to play with someone you don't know or someone you don't know, i like split screens, it gives you that awkward sense of competition with one another,
but the main reason why i bring this up is due to kane and lynch 2, the reviewer wrote that it's biggest redeeming factor is its online play, which seems a bit insulting to the game developers, because it's kind of implying that they can't make a game that great, so they have to rely on other people playing the game online in order for the game to really shine, but i suppose any game developer would prefer a 2 and up rating instead of just a lonely 1

With DVD almost being at the point that it is unable to be used as a viable storage medium for current games as games such as lost planet 2 show and the increasingly lowering price of USB flash drives is it possible that Microsoft and Nintendo would consider using them over converting to Blu-ray. Personally I think this would be a good filler technology to bide over until entirely digital distribution and would also work as a way to be able to put DLC straight on to what the game is stored on and is a much more durable medium than a disk.

Also is there any chance of a Klonoa 3 (way more interesting than kingdom hearts 3)

I've never been able to understand what the big draw to all of EA's sports games was about. I mean they chug one out every single year and expect you to buy it over and over again. They make very little improvements to each title (Madden 10) that doesn't make it seem worth it, but yet people still buy them like crazy. This business strategy couldn't work with any other game series (alhough they are trying with Call of duty). I just don't understand why people still buy them.

Can you guys please start posting the Audio version regularly? The last two Feedbacks have had no audio version. Also, if you guys could go back to having an audio RSS feed that would be AMAZING!! (BTW, its not that I don't love looking at your pretty mugs, I just have a VERY long commute and Feedback is the perfect way to burn time while sitting in traffic)

With Gamescom going on this week and the announcement of Resistance 3, making me wish i played the second one, my question is has there ever been a sequel to a game that made you want to play the first. Meaning that you skipped the first one because maybe you just didn't look like a good game or some other game caught your interest at the time

By now we've all heard the news that Mass Effect 2 is coming to the PS3 in January of 2011. All 360/PS3 Fanboy-ness aside... How much are PS3 owners really missing from not playing the first Mass Effect? Is it something that is going to ruin/hurt the game experience?

hey guys, love the show, my question is this:
What are your thoughts on the new Bioshock? I am extremely excited about the game having love the original but not so much the second one. I am very eager to play it but why do developers believe they have to always make a sequel or prequel to a great game? cant a great game just stand along ( like psychonauts)? What was the last game that was released that was great but had no sequel?

p.s. is that Andrew Ryan conducting his record player on the balcony?

Hello. First of all I love the show. Great job everyone. My question is in regards to the latest California court case about banning minors buying violent games, a case that the vacuous morons (a.k.a. politicians) in my state of Maryland are backing. Do you guys think there are some involved in this that would like to ban violent video games completely (Like they have in other countries)? If so, do you think there is any possibility that could happen eventually?

For this fall and holiday season, Wii boasts an impressive lineup of games: Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, GoldenEye, Epic Mickey etc. Even if one cannot describe all of them as "core games", it is fair to say that they are at least of interest to the core gaming audience as well. My question is, will this lineup rekindle the interest of core gamers for the Wii and go ways to repair it's ill reputation among them, or is it too little, too late? Furthermore, can we expect these games to serve as an entry point into core gaming for at least some of the Wii's previous audience?

P.S. I find it ironic how so many people clamour for more core games on the Wii, yet when those are announced or released, those same people wonder why those games weren't released on the PS3/360 instead.
