Activision detailed the goodies and extras coming in the collector's editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops this morning, and they are undeniably, wantonly awesome. Of particular note: A working RC car with an onboard camera!
Here's the breakdown on Prestige edition including a nice little trailer for you if you read on.
Prestige Edition
- An "entirely original" remote controlled surveillance vehicle inspired by the RC-XD from Black Ops Multiplayer. "With a range of up to 200 feet, the RC-XD Surveillance Vehicle has a fully-functioning remote camera that transmits both TFT color video and audio to its operator.
- Limited edition medal,
- Exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit,
- Four playable cooperative maps.
The Hardened edition includes the maps, medal and avatar outfit, but no awesome RC car.
I don't really know what I'm going to do with a remote control car with a camera (other than terrify my cat), but I know I'm going to have one. How about you? Are you picking this one up?

I love how everybody just complains about coming out with the prestige editions. A lot of people like them, I do, i know that. I love getting to coolest edition of my favorite game and getting cool game-life replicas. And the ones that the call of duty games come with actually work! which is way cool.
Bottom line, don't like it? then dont buy it. But dont annoy everyone else who does want it with your incessant whining. COD = Awesome.

1. Yeah, I'm sure lots of people will be using it to do upskirts and bathroom perv stuff. Because we all know that all women are dumb enough to let a remote control car with a video camera on it sit below their legs.
2. To everyone crying about "Is this what its come too". Why on earth would you fault a developer for giving the buyer more than one option. SHAME ON YOU TREYARCH! We all know gamers hate variety! Could use please package my disc between two sheets of cardboard and wrap it in duct tape. I HATE FRILLS!
3. If you have no use for it, once again... don't buy it. I work for the Border Patrol and I can promise you that I am going to have a blast driving this thing into the many tubes that go into Mexico and seeing what the smugglers are up to. So yeah, while everyone is complaining just know that this prestige edition may very well be used to help keep America safer! Or at least, provide funny youtube videos if I can figure out how to record it.

Spend $90 more for a game or just $20 for the hardened edition. I won't lie, I was immediately stoked when I first heard the release of the prestige edition but it brought me back to when I purchased the NVG prestige edition of MW2. I REGRET IT! But hey, I say kids 16 and under that will be allowed to play this game will be extremely happy to enjoy this mature rated game that comes with an RC surveillance cam car. But for me, I'll just get the hardened edition...I'm pretty sure the same thing that happened with the NVG (collects dust) will happen to my brand new RC car.

this is awesome its way better than the nv goggles from iw... an RC car that takes video and audio and can go 200 ft of range! you can get this kind of RC car for like $300 off the internet plus it comes with the game for $150! now that's a deal and an awesome bundle. plus what are going to do with NV goggles walking all night looking retarded??? or use an RC car all DAY and night having fun! and for those "ADULTS" have a little fun and be a kid for once i mean your are still playing video games. nuf said.

Last year people probably hurt their eyes by looking into bright lights with night vision goggles on. This year people will be arrested for sending this RC car with a video camera and mic into the women's locker rooms and restrooms. Good Job Treyarch

Seriously, you don't have to buy it. But, I really wish the publishers would include a voucher for future DLC and map packs. I think it would give the publishers a better return and more incentive for the gamers. I mean, they really should include some C4 or semtex with that RC car.

Why not thermal goggles, its the logical step, or even a replica gun with a heart beat monitor(I know they're fake) that would also fit the theme as well as be very cool.
