UFC-loving, grapplers on-the-go will be pleased to hear that THQ’s hit fighting title UFC Undisputed 2010 will roundhouse its way onto the PlayStation Portable September 7.
"UFC Undisputed 2010 raised the bar for sports games earlier this year with an impressive feature set and unbeatable gameplay experience on high-definition console gaming platforms," said THQ Core Games executive vice president Danny Bilson in a press release. "We believe this franchise has the ability to flourish in a handheld format and look forward to delivering the game this fall for the PSP system."
The PSP game includes over 100 fighters, “customizable freedom with created fighters by combining move sets from numerous MMA disciplines,” and deep and authentic fight controls. It also features an ad-hoc multiplayer mode, and an Ultimate Fights Mode, which includes over 30 minutes of UFC footage.
The PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game brought some new features to the ring, but repeated a lot of the same mistakes found in last year’s installment. This marks the series’ debut on Sony’s handheld, so I guess we’ll find out soon enough how the game translates to the mobile platform.
