Judging from media reports, the Miller family of Buffalo Grove Illinois are interesting people. Trevor, 17, is into online gaming and his folks, James and Cindy seem to like smoking weed. The problem is that Trevor may have been using a stolen credit card to pay for his gaming, and that stolen card led police to the Miller house, and that led to the bust of his parents for growing marijuana. Two hobbies ruined in one shot.
Although news reports don't say what game the younger Miller was into, it does mention that he used the boosted credit card for "downloading virtual gold coins," so I'm guessing he was into World of Warcraft.
Trevor was charged with identity theft, burglary, unlawful use of a credit card, computer fraud, and unlawful production of marijuana plants where his folks were just charged with unlawful production of marijuana plants.

@JustTheBeginning - The difference would be huge, I think California plans on raking in 1 billion per year on taxing pot, every state doing it could be great for out GDP. The DEA spends around 18 Billion to fight Pot alone, I think the whole budget for the DEA is around 86 billion. Mexico has moved on to the harder drugs but Pot is still over 50% of it's trade since I last read about it. Phoenix AZ is the kidnapping capital of the US, only 2nd in the world behind a city in Mexico. Phoenix used to be 2nd in the world for kidnapping behind Bogata Columbia, but now the smugling between AZ and Mexico is blowing that out of the water. There is a new indi video out about the border and it shows some disturbing stuff like massive execution graves including children. I just don't think Pot is close to as important as stuff like this.

@JustTheBeginning - At this point it would make a major impact just on the safety of our country alone. Pot isn't neccessarily a good thing but it's not even close to as bad as real hard drugs, human trafficing and child prostitution going on between the US and Mexico. The US has too much focus on Pot, I would rather see kids flushing glow sticks down the toilet than getting sold, drugged and raped. I don't understand why people "need" to get messed up but I'm just thinking about the bigger picture here, there is nothing wrong with what you think. PS...When is G4 planning on fixing the reply problem ? It's only been a year.

Just legalize it already, I don't even use it but I know it would create more government revenue while knocking down billions in drug enforcement as well as take a ton of pressure off of the borders. Getting this country to produce anything would be a great help right now.
