I played a bunch of Hydro Thunder Hurricane over the weekend for my review, and one phrase that I must have uttered a dozen times while playing was “Holy sh**!” Check back tomorrow for the full review to find out exactly what caused this reaction. This morning though I wanted to find out from you what are some games/ game moments that have caused you to uncontrollably let out profane exclamations, whether from joy, or fear, or surprise, or anger, or whatever.

In Fallout 3 I was searching a subway station where I thought everyone was dead. I'm searching around for loot and I hear what sounds like footsteps so I turn around only to find a Ghoul Reaver leaping and growling at me(right in my face). I literally screamed and dropped the controller. LOL. My fiance yells down the stairs "What just happened?". I told her the story and she got a pretty good laugh out of it.

The nuke going off in the first Modern Warfare.
Bioshock. There is a part where you go in a doctor's office. As I'm inspecting some drawers with a mirror on it. Fog appears for a few seconds. As it goes away you see in the reflection a Slicer behind you.
BEST OH SHIZ MOMENT OF ALL TIME IS...
Batman Arkheim Asylum: The part when you're playing the game then all of a sudden things pixelate and the game freezes for a few seconds but feels like eternity. Then the animation from the beginning of the game begins. Just as you are ready to reboot your console, you notice the little differences that make you realize it's all part of the gaming experience. Genius!

Lots of moments in Mass Effect 1 and 2 when I wasn't expecting that guy around the corner.

In Metal Gear Solid where you're trapped in the control room and Master Miller turns out to be Liquid the whole time. That was a major WTF moment.

resident evil, god of war 3, heavy rain were all great moments. also, the ending of Infamous gets that title from me.

It's not a "holy shat(ner)" moment in the traditional sense but: the first time playing through Zone of the Enders... Initial response to flying through the game in one sitting "holy hell was that game short..." two seconds later "but holy sheep was that a good time" *restarts from the beginning*.... Though there have been plenty of games out there with that effect.

Being chased in the sewer by Salizar's bodyguard in Resident Evil 4. My heart was racing avoiding his attacks and then I ended up running out of ammo despite freezing him with every canister around. I lucked out by killing him with the last grenade in my inventory. "Holy---" soon came after.

Well i was playing through silent hill homecoming i was in the apartments and it was right after i seen pyramid head. So i was already on edge and i was looking where to go to next and i seen a line of bugs running in one direction so i said to my self either thats where i need to go or pyramid head is in that room. So i took my chances i turned off my flashlight so i attracted no monsters i knew at least one was around due to the static of my radio as i walked into the room i was attacked by a nurse hiding just around the corner of the door i jumped i almost jumped right out of my chair.
