What We Learned During The Week Of July 18, 2010

I like to regard all of life as an opportunity for learning, and by "learning," I mean "sleeping it off," but nonetheless, this week brought with it important life-lessons, the most vital of which is that San Diego Comic-Con can be very exhausting -- I, and the rest of my office-mates, are still recovering from partyin', boozin' and nerdin' for four days straight a week ago. Here are the other valuable lessons I learned this week:

• Girls in super-hero costumes are super-hot.
• Guitar Hero's track list kicks a lot of ass.
• Starcraft 2 is kind of a big deal.
• Gamers will trade actual-world money for "real" coins that represent fake coins with value only in imaginary world.
• Our government will spend money on anything.

• Even though EA has yet to announce the titles, the ESRB has rated NBA Jam for PS3 and Xbox 360.
• Codemasters is working on new entries in the Grid, Flashpoint and Dirt series.
• This Week in Game Deals highlights the best StarCraft 2 deal!
• Warren Spector explained during Comic-Con that Disney Epic Mickey includes action and RPG elements as well as traditional platforming
• The second season of American Ninja Warrior is coming in December.
