I like to regard all of life as an opportunity for learning, and by "learning," I mean "sleeping it off," but nonetheless, this week brought with it important life-lessons, the most vital of which is that San Diego Comic-Con can be very exhausting -- I, and the rest of my office-mates, are still recovering from partyin', boozin' and nerdin' for four days straight a week ago. Here are the other valuable lessons I learned this week:
- Girls in super-hero costumes are super-hot.
- Guitar Hero's track list kicks a lot of ass.
- Starcraft 2 is kind of a big deal.
- Gamers will trade actual-world money for "real" coins that represent fake coins with value only in imaginary world.
- Our government will spend money on anything.
I already knew this, but our web shows are awesome. Here are this week's:
- Feedback Survived Comic-Con! Hear all about it.
- The MMO Report: Casey was at Comic-Con too (notice a trend?) but he covered all the MMO news at the show.
- Fresh Ink: Blair Butler returns from the Con and rockets through two weeks of reviews, including 7 Psychopaths, Time Bomb, Red Mass For Mars, The All-New Wonder Woman, Black Widow, and G.I. Joe: Hearts and Minds.
- Sessler's Soapbox: Adam was at Comic-Con too, but often on the other side of the podium, moderating and leading panels. Get his unique perspective here.
