It looks like two different collectors editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released when the game drops on November 9, at least, if you believe that retailer Buy.com's listing today is accurate. Although no details are available for either the "Prestige" pack or the "Hardened" edition of the game, the prices were revealed. Hardened will cost you $79.99, while the Prestige Edition will cost $149.99.
The last Call of Duty release, Modern Warfare 2, also featured two collector packs, with the more expensive containing a pair of working night-vision goggles, as well as art book, a bunch of docu-DVDs and more. You gotta wonder if/how Activision can top that... working Glock? Gilly suit?

Some gaming journalist. No version of Modern Warfare 2 came with a DVD. There was however, a Veteran Edition that came with a Captain MacTavish statue.
Also seems cheap to me that Treyarch didn't bother to come up with any different names for their collector/special editions of the game. Yet another way they're ripping Infinity Ward off.

I gotta say I don't think they can top MW2's Prestige Edition.
(and that's not saying that MW2's PE was the greatest thing ever, I think the novelty of the goggles has warn off, but the mere anticipation of the game and goggles and everything else really hyped that PE. I don't think it'll happen again for a long long long time)
But hey atleast they aren't calling them 'Collector's Editions' anymore since NO ONE Collects Video Games. (other then GameStop buying all the crap games they'll never resell)

I made the mistake on buying the Prestige edition for Mw2...If they don't have something like exclusive "in-game" DLC, actual DVDs (or Blu-ray disc) on the making of the game, and another collector's memorabilia like a crossbow w/scope Model to add with our NVGs.. I'm sticking with just the game...

Seriously, why haven't they announced the Nazi Zombies level? What are they waiting for? Maybe there are Nazi Zombies in the campaign... some sort of level where you're in Eastern Europe and they find Nazi gold, but when you take it you're cursed, like the Pirates of the Caribbean, but better.
