Keeping with the increasing popular trend of turning video games into comic-books, Eidos will soon release the first issue in the upcoming series based on their unflinching crime franchise Kane & Lynch. The comics are being published by DC Comics’ Wildstorm and written by Ian Edginton, and will feature art from Chris Mitten and cover art by New York Times best-selling artists Ben Templesmith.
Eidos sent along a look some cover art, as well as a few samples from the comic itself. The first issue goes on sale August 4. Here’s how the series arc kicks off:
“Following the bullet-ridden finale to the best-selling video game, Kane and Lynch decide what's best for everyone concerned is that they go their separate ways. That is, until a contract is put out on their collective lives for a huge bounty – and every assassin and two-bit goon around the world is gunning for the volatile pair. Can the unrepentant traitor and medicated psychopath work together once more to save their lives and get to the bottom of this blood-drenched conspiracy?”
Here's the full cover for issue #1:

If you prefer your Kane and Lynch in video game form, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days releases August 24. (Check out my hands-on preview to see how it’s shaping up heading into release).

I'll never understand why comic book companies mess up good cover artwork by plopping redundant text like FIRST EXPLOSIVE ISSUE! on it.
Marvel, you're extremely guilt of this with your lame THE HEROIC AGE banners.
