This is the epitome of a web gaming rumor: Apparently, a reader of French gaming site PS3Gen saved some source code from Capcom's Japanese site and revealed the full roster of fighters coming to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.
Yeah, that's a lot of layers of "could be fake," but it seems like a plausible list. Check it out:
Marvel:
Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Mr Fantastic, Captain America, Iron Man, War Machine Elektra, Thor, X-23, Magneto, Dr Doom, Shuma-Gorath, Emma Frost, Deadpool, Super Skrull, Taskmaster, Juggernaut, She Hulk.
Capcom :
Ryu, Mike Haggar, Chuck, Spencer (Bionic Commando), Dante, Chris, Morrigan, Arthur, Amaterasu , Albert Wesker, Zero, Chun-li, Viewtiful Joe, Trish, Tron Bonne, Hsien-Ko, Akuma, Felicia.
I've consulted with a panel of experts and put this rumor through G4's Rumor-Tron 8000 super-computer, and have determined that there is an 43 percent chance this information is accurate. The Rumor-Tron just thinks this list is "bullsh*t," and refused to elaborate. I guess it's having a bad day.

thats so no worth it i expected more characters i own every vs game an this is a big dissapointment were is cable,guile,strider,gambit MEGAMAN!! plz keep him classic like the mvc2 megaman if he makes it, in other words mvc2 all the way

I second that gambit is a vital part to this game. But the real question is WHERE IS GYLE. He is the by far the most important character in the game; when the chips were down who did you call on to get you out of a jam? GYLE! Who came out of the corner kicking ass to take down all opponents with out having to change character? GYLE! Who destroyed everyone who ever lived? GYLE!!!!!!

i heard that fantastic 4 were deconfirmed which would explain why we have super skrull i believe this list is fake because they have zero but no megaman and super skrull and mr. fantastic. it's redundant.

I've been hoping they use Arthur (from Ghosts and Goblins) in a MVC game! I think it be cool to see his weapons be used.

Sounds like a really crappy roster to me. Why is Hsien-Ko in there, she like the worst character from Darkstalkers why not J. Tabalin or some body else, also mike Haggar, that guy was only in final fight why not some one else from that game like guy or Cody. Another one, if you have Super-Skrull why would you have Mr. fantastic, it makes no sense. Finally to finish off, why is she hulk there, its the same as what i said earlier, if you have hulk, why have she hulk.

I think that this list is fake for a couple of reasons. One, thor and amateratsu have been confirmed but have not appeared anywhere on that list. Second, no one from the Fantastic four will be playable because super skrull is in the game and has all of their powers. Third, They said that the list of characters for this game will be huge. This list however consist of only 37 characters which is less then MvC2's 56 character roster. I also think that they would probably add more than just 2 street fighter characters. Well, in my hopes, i really hope that they would put Virgil in the game to complete My Devil may cry team.(I'm a big fan, I have dvc 2,3,and4)

They did say that the primary members of the fantastic four were going to be excluded, Mr. Fantastic, Thing, Invisable Woman, and The Human Torch, as well as Emma Frost, Daredevil, Gene (God Hand), Punisher, Ghost Rider, Phoenix Wright, and any characters from the Rival School and Power Stone series. It HAS leaked by Seth Killian that Storm WILL be in the game (http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=t1dTMeFz994). So I think Marvel side is completely wrong, while the Capcom side could be right, but I still think that ORIGINAL fighters for the first Marvel Vs. Capcom should be in it

It could be true i mean if its a lie or not i'll still be satisfied with whoever they decide to put in there. Too bad i really wanted to see Pheonix Wright in there.
