Today at the Halo: Universe panel at Comic-Con, Frank O'Connor showed off two nifty easter eggs that are built into the new Xbox 360 Halo: Reach Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console. The power and eject buttons both have a tiny bit of RAM in them, and if you've played around with the normal new edition of the console, you've heard the soothing power chime when you switch it on.
But for this Halo-centric version, they've included two special sounds: power on and the console plays the Invisibility power-up sound and hit the eject button and you'll hear the Shield Charging effect. Major Nelson should have a video up soon on his site showing these off.
Also, when asked if we would see the continuation of Master Chief's story, Frankie said, "At the end of Halo 3, and cover your ears if you haven't played it, Master Chief is in cryosleep. Cortana has sent a rescue signal, and they are orbiting a strange world. We'd have to be the world's biggest assholes to not follow through on his story." At which point, the audience erupted into huge cheers.

Onyx, the planet, was destroyed. Only the Dyson Sphere surrounded by Sentinels remain. And don't forget the Spartan III's who also survived in that Dyson Sphere with Mendez and Halsey. So, chances are, the "Legendary Planet" is not Onyx. More than likely, it is a separate Shield World.
Also, Instillation 00 is in our galaxy. Why would there by a Halo, designed to wipe out all sentient life in our galaxy, OUTSIDE our galaxy?
And, as far as I know from every Halo book written, Jun is not confirmed dead or alive. Though the fact that Halsey was taken aboard the Ascendent Justice, and not Jun leaves me to believe that Jun died sometimes after Halo: Reach and before Halo 2.

Don't be fooled, I bet all the tea in China that there will be more Halo games. It's a sound investment, and it bypasses the risk of a new and original IP. Halo sells, and Bungie is a business. I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if a Halo game is 'unofficially' announced at this year's E3.

till date choronological order for Halo games are as follows...
1.Halo wars
2.Halo Reach
3.Halo:combat evolved
4.Halo 2
5.Halo 3 & Halo 3:ODST...both games are of same timeline as MC follows covenant steps and ODSTS clears the path for MC and wipe out remaning covenants from the planet.
Microsoft must rollout new sequel as in Halo 3 legendary ending MC and cortana seen drifting to an unknown planet..i think its onynx coz in the novel, forerunners made a copy of the artificial planet(which was destroyed in halo wars) and set it outside the galaxy. and also installation 00 was outside the galaxy and out of range of the halo rings.
The confusion is here that dr. halsey and some spartan-II's are trapped inside the sheild world in micro dyson sphere coz they destroyed the only gate which was entrance and exit so that covenant didnt access it.
I think the planet shown in Halo 3's ending is the planet with a working gate to that splispace shield world. just guessing folks....hope a sequel arrives fast....cant wait to get hands on it.
just one more thing, is spirit of fire is rescued by UNSC as it doesnt have a FTL drive anymore...and AI serina wakes up captain and says something has happened...can anybody tell me about this...

And for halo reach there's no special ending in any mode coz just after the Pillar of Autumn leaves reach , it reaches halo installation 04 , that is in Halo CE

Yea I would have to say read the books, they are really fun, like Fall of Reach, that will bring you from since MC was 6 years old to his missions and even getting in the Mjolnir Armor.
Halo has a lot to offer, and after reading the books, you'll love the game even more and understand what your truly moving around.

Ok MC is not the last spartan people. There are like 3-4 more locked away in a forrunner planet. That is at the end of halo 3. Reach takes place before the other 3 games. Therefore you'll see the other spartans. as for why the MC is the only one to have survived so well and long on his own, Cortana tells you in one of the games. He's lucky. each spartan has a trait. Like Spartan Kelly was fast and good at sniping if I remember correctly. Also another reason MC is one the last spartans, becuz the covenant brutes and elites are massive. Only a person in a half ton suit with a metal skelaton could have a chance against them. This is all from the games and books people. Some of you just need to go through the story mode again and actually listen instead of shooting everything. For everyone else, read the books.

Is there another Halo in the progress? A lot of people say that this was Bungie's last Halo game, but didn't they say it was there last game with Microsoft(I'm not sure if they said that forgot bit.). So possibly bungie is going to make another Halo game when they partner with Activision..
