Comic-Con 2010: The Avengers Cast...Assembled!

The Avengers just got a lot more real at the Marvel Studios panel, where not only the news about the addition of Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner proved accurate, but we got this surreal group hug of the cast of the 2012 Marvel epic.

This amazing pic (via ComicBookMovie) managed to capture the magic of comic movie history being made before our eyes.

Pictured left to right: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Director Joss Whedon, and Producer/Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

This movie is going to be the biggest BUST of all time. Way too many actors for 1 movie. They would need to have an epic story that would last 5 hours of movie time. Theatres would have to show 2.5 hours and then have an intermission, then show final 2.5 hours for this to look good.

Its also sad that 'Captain America' is the smallest weakling loser in that group picture. Awful casting.

I would prefer Norton over Ruffalo, but I'm excited to see what he does with the role. Joy! 'happy sigh', this is going to be fantastic and Whedon is the perfect person for this job. 100% win.

No pressure Joss, just do your thang.

spiderman and wolverine weren't avengers until recently and even so they are mostly loners hence their own title comics, that would explain why they weren't even considered to be in the avengers movie. The original squad were ironman, thor, ant-man, wasp, and hulk. hulk leaves (because hulk smash) and then they find captian america. you've just been nerded

I still think they should have gotten spider man. This is why if your a comic book company, you don't sell your character's movie rights. If somebody wants to make a movie about one of them, they will just have to let the comic book company keep the rights to the film.

I AM STOKED!!! I just hope that the Avengers movie could feature Sharlto Copley as Hank Pym, it would complete the puzzle!!! He needs exposure, and I believe that him as GIANT MAN in the Avengers would be a could placement for him to take on HULK. IMO.

There are way to many people in this film, hopefully they can avoid the Spider-man 3 problem of having too many villains except opposite that. I'm sure I'll still enjoy it, though.
