In addition to announcing a new limited edition Halo: Reach Xbox 360 bundle Bungie revealed new details about Reach’s next iteration of its in-game editing toolset, Forge 2.0, some newly announced Firefight modes, armor abilities, and more during their Comic-Con 2010 panel.
Building on the already robust features of its Forge editor, Bungie has taken the toolset to a whole new level, and the result is Forge World, a massive interactive space comprised of five connected maps where up to eight players can build, create, and share maps using Forge’s robust and intuitive creation capabilities.
Bungie also revealed Reach’s Versus Firefight mode, in which teams of two players battle against each other as either Elites supported by Covenant AI or as Spartans. They also showed off Gruntpocalypse, which, as the name suggests, pits you against a never-ending onslaught of those adorable little bastards.
We’ll have a hands-on preview of the new modes and features for you shortly, so stay tuned.

This looks great the only thing I wish they added is matchmaking for custom games. Like I can make a map and a game then have i tposted in a lobby where people can see a bunch of other games and choose one then play it just like a normal custom game but with strangers because I hate it when in halo 3 I go on but no one else is on so I cant play custom games that I really want to try

THIS LOOKS F-ING AWSOME. one thing is its gonnna get really crazy with the map editor, and no matter what your gonna get some retard who makes the stupidest little maps but all games online have that so well thats a little f-ed... i know that you can just put up the 'most popular' thing so you get good maps that other REAL creators do so you can actually play on but there's always going to be some bull- maps in the most popular category. ANY HALO REACH DESIGNERS: you should make a categories list that could include : epic, random, fun, ultimate battle page so it makes it a bit easier to get ones that you want... please do make that and know ive already preordered the special new custom halo reach xbox deal. WOOOOH HALO REACH BABY YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's is a con to Halo Reach coming out. On the Halo 3 multiplayer playlists there will no longer be Double EXP Weekend after November 13 MLG will disapear to saidly. But to i don't really care sense all I'm going to play is Halo Reach multiplayer.

OMFG This is going 2 be crazy. I'm so glad i preordered the limited edtion. love you bungie for perfecting forge and all you PS3 lovers everyboby is going to be playin this 24/7. Your PS3s are going to be gaining a lot of dust. Even a owner of a PS3 on youtube said his Ps3 is going 2 be gaining a lot of dust when Halo Reach comes out. :D :O :D HAHA!!

the beta was on thing thats was badass and now they have unleashed badassery to all aspects of this game i mean forge was always cool my friends i built a heaven and hell map we map impenetrable floating bases and now we can have are own section of a forge world. They have given so much content that they can never make a better game but thinking this is just to keep us playing till they decide to do halo 4, like assassins creed brother hood its not the end they make take 2 years of before the next game. Bungie said they have no plans for halo 4 they never said about handing of the torch to new developers, which might not be a better decision
