Bungie officially unveiled a limited edition Halo: Reach Xbox 360 console bundle during their Comic-Con 2010 panel today.
The 250GB console sports a silver finish, a “Reach” stamp on the front, and comes bundled with two specially designed Reach controllers, a token to download the limited edition Elite armor set, an episode of Halo Legends and a Reach-themed Xbox 360 wired headset.
The limited edition controller and headset will also be available separately in late August for $59.99 and $49.99 respectively. The controller will include a token for "an animated Covenant Banshee avatar item."
The official announcement also mentions that the console "also features custom sound effects from the Halo universe," whatever that might mean.
The bundle will be available September 14 for $399.99, but only for a limited time (hence the “limited edition” part).
Pretty slick, no?

I wish this was $100 CHEAPER.
And what about the people that have already pre-ordered either the Limited, or Legendary, Edition of Halo: Reach?
Does that mean if they pre-order this Limited Edition Silver Slim, they'll end up getting another copy of the game?
Or can they just get the Limited Edition Silver Slim by itself + the controllers, but w|o another copy of game, so they don't have to pay as much for the console??

I am not a fan of the color of the Xbox, I still favor the slick black color. Do these system bundles even sell. I see a ton of the Final Fantasy ones and Splinter Cell ones everywhere I go.

That's actually a pretty good deal. The console itself (retailing for $300 with one controller, no game), plus the game and an extra controller. Sounds reasonable to me, especially when you throw in the slick new paint job.

the system will be reserved tomorrow! this console beats the snot out of the halo 3 orange and olive edition system and best part no red ring o death. this will decimate the entertainment center

I doubt the whole "this way more rare than the Halo 3" business. They probably made 5 million or more. Still awesome, of course.
