By this time tomorrow, you’re going to be up to your elven cosplay ears in G4’s Comic-Con 2010 coverage, and while I would say I’m sorry, there isn’t really anything to be sorry about, since it just means you’ll have offensive amounts of Comic-Con info to consume at your leisure without the need to brave the interesting smelling crowds of the convention yourself. That’s our job, and we cherish it. But seeing as Comic-Con proper doesn’t kick off until tomorrow, we’ve decided to put together a very special pre-Comic-Con Feedback for you this week featuring the countess of comics herself Blair Butler chatting about all of the week’s biggest game news, and, of course, the big CC, with host Adam Sessler, Abbie Heppe, Matt Keil, and, for the first time, G4tv.com’s features editor Kevin Kelly.
Hulk might prefer to smash, but here on Feedback, we prefer to discuss...and then smash:
- Microsoft announced this week that Kinect will retail for $150, and will come bundled with Kinect Adventures. They also revealed a new 4GB Xbox 360 console, and Kinect bundle.
- Connecticut has joined 11 other states in support of legislation proposed by California to restrict sales of violent games to children. Needless to say, this whole situation disturbs us quite a bit.
- And speaking of things that disturb us, there continues to be chatter about Activision considering the idea of introducing a subscription model to future Call of Duty games. Despite what Treyarch says, the decision is ultimately Activision's, and that's definitely cause for concern.
Feedback: All of the heroic potential of the Fantastic Four, only we're sometimes more than four, and quite a bit less fantastic.

If Activision where to do this subscription thing I would no longer purchase any of their games. If the subscription thing applied to past games, such as Modern Warfare and World at War, I would sell those games and get different ones.
If said subscription service applied to Bungie during their partnership, sorry Bungie, I love ya, but Activision screwed up. That is, if, like was mentioned in the episode, the new IP Bungie has in the works is an MMO, in that case, it would be logical to have a subscription model.

Really enjoyed Blair's opinion on DC/Marvel Character in video games because I absolutely agree; it does feel quite silly to seeing characters like Batman fighting with/against Superman.. lol
HAI GAI WITH GADGETS HEREZ MY BALLS MADE OF STEEL.
aww, duke nukem :|
and seriously, who has 150$ to waste on Kinect any ways; Microsoft is wasting so much money marketing.

I loved the fact that the camera men started to laugh at the jokes in the beginning of the podcast.

Hey guys. I wanted to drop in here. I couldn't chime in earlier because I was attending Comic-Con for my new gig over at EGM and EGMi. My parting was G4 was not a firing or a lay off. I grew up reading EGM and the opportunity to help lead the rebirth of my favorite magazine was not an opportunity I could let pass me by. You guys have no idea how much I'll miss joining Adam, Abbie and everyone else every week for Feedback. Outside of breaking news for you kick-ass folk, it was my favorite part of the job. Hopefully, they'll let me come back as a guest sometime. I'd be humbled (and my new office won't be that far away!). Either way, I'll still be watching Feedback every week and reading G4tv.com every day, except this time I'll be doing it because I'm just a fan. Thanks for all of your support, and I hope you'll check out www.egmnow.com, or follow my rantings at www.twitter.com/patrickklepek.

Thank you Abbie for pointing out that MW2 is broken. I come from playing CS, CSS, and played MW2 for a while but it just got to the point where the games flaws are so blatantly apparent that it makes the game unplayable for me, coupled with the fact that nothing has been done about it since the games release. That's why I laughed at people actually paying a subscription fee to play a similar broken game like MW2. It still saddens me to see how low gaming has come, from update/patch/new map being free to now a subscription fee is being looked into in an online fps + paying money for maps.
This just seems like Activision flexing it's greed muscles once again. =/

Cool hearing that Sessler went to Boys' State. It's a good experience.
