I love the Sly Cooper games. In their PS2 heyday, they scratched several gamer itches for me, including slick cel-shaded visuals, clever storytelling, and a great grasp on what makes the best animated TV shows tick. Naturally, I'm looking forward to The Sly Collection, which revamps the three hit games with a coat of HD and a smattering of new features. Now, according to Official PlayStation Blog, it'll set you back roughly the same as the last HD "Collection" compilation.
Word from Sony is that you can expect all three Sly games, Move support, 3D support (if you've got the setup), and three Platinum trophies for $39.99, the same price as last year's God of War Collection. They're still being cagey about a release date other than "fall," but if you're en route to San Diego for Comic-Con, Sony promises that it'll be playable in their booth.
Are you planning to pick up The Sly Collection this fall? What's the over/under on a "The Murray"-themed trophy?

it would be cool if they put the multi player for sly 3 for online so you can play with your friends. but thats just me hoping. im sold on this already

YES FINALLY. CANT WAIT TO BUY THIS GAME. i have beaten every sly game ever and im planning on beating the 3 games AGAIN. Gonna buy on the 1st day for sure.

I'm guessing they're going to release it around the same time as move, I guess they aren't certain and maybe that's why they haven't given a specific release date. In any case, i want to get this, even though I wasn't big on the Sly games during my PS2 days. But 3 games, upresed to HD with trophies, for $40? You can't really pass that up. Might not get it opening day as there is a lot coming out in the fall and there are some extra expenses I'm anticipating for October-November, but it'll definitely be on my list.

Sly Cooper was my first PS2 game and I loved it, it's sad that they're a dying genre. It's nothing but shooters flooding the market. That's why I've been playing A LOT of LIMBO

played the first but wasnt into the whole stealth gaming at the time. but since my ancient ps3 i might get the sly collection to reminisce when i cud play ps2 days

Awesome! I played through them originally, but look forward to replaying them. A $40 price seems like a great deal, as I assumed the would try to get $60 from us.

Are they going to make Sly 4? Sly is in "Heroes On the Move" isn't he? A Sly collection so much attention for Sly. After Infamous 2, do you think it's possible?

i see this being the new think for sony with the collection series of games hd style. it would be cool to see not only ps2 collections but also ps1 collection high def of course.

I love the sly cooper games, the first one was hands down the best. The story just over all was better then the other one. I never did actually own them, they were my aunts, so I will probably buy them.
