Red Dead Redemption Bonus Outfit Voting Begins

Rockstar Games has a message for all you would be cheaters roaming the dusty expanses of Red Dead Redemption: enjoy it will it lasts, because a reckoning approaches.

Rockstar revealed a few weeks back that it would be addressing various Free Roam cheating issues in the upcoming Free Roam downloadable content pack via new “anti-grief measures,” but it appears those fixes will be coming along sooner than expected; as in, next month in a new title update.

Rockstar says the new update will address various hacking and cheating issues, and promptly ban anyone found to be engaging in the douche-arts. To help curb the annoyance of cheaters, a new respawn feature will be added to Free Roam that will let players avoid respawning next to some moron who can’t help but want to kill everything they see.

Not only that, especially annoying players who rack up a six person kill streak in Free Roam will now become most wanted, making them easy targets for other players in the session, as well as NPC lawmen.

These changes are just the first wave as Rockstar says it plans to continue improving multiplayer via future updates.

So being most wanted is an incentive to kill more people? At least last time I played the game. More people may come to you ... so you can kill them!

I have yet to play multiplayer outside of a LAN game that didn't munch balls due to cheaters or d-bags. At least on a LAN game you could b*tch slap the %$@#$ in the head. Pretty much puts an end to that $#%@.

Cheating makes no sense in so many ways!
I admit it can be fun offline or in a closed multiplayer game.
But cheating to take advantage of another person who does not know your cheating, LAME!!!!!!!
What kind of social misfit finds joy in stealing the fun from everyone else??????????
Gamers need to understand that not only do cheaters steal from the game companies (pirate copies), they are actually stealing from every one of us (fun).

Fanboys don't refuse to play games. They play it, then say it sucks. I've seen plenty of fanboys on the feed who have all systems. You can love two systems but you will love one more than the other. Saying you're not a fanboy cause you have both systems is just a bad excuse, it's not true. Fanboy haters. But, yeah, i'm glad they're working on the cheating.

This is good, i hate being randomly killed by some AHole with a sniper... it also will make trophy hunting easier for the public enemy one

Personally I think this stuff should have been addressed months ago. The second day RDR came out people were already maxed level in MP. Another thing, spawning issues is something that should have been pointed out 2 minutes into the MP beta test..

It's not really punishing us to make us most wanted after six player kills....

if you've killed six player characters in a row...chances are you're on their hit list regardless.....making it official just adds incentives for everyone in the current session to go after said douche...though I suppose it also adds incentives for people to be more douche-y at the same time....considering this makes a lot of difficult challenges 100 times easier to pass...

No need to ride around blackwater for a couple minutes....killing everything that moves to get to public enemy status....

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone posse up...head on over to the mine....let their posse go in ahead...then toss a stick of dynamite in right after them...

though I've actually experienced that already anyway..

some sick sick people playin' this game...

worst is on the advanced river mission...doing great! get to just before the final part...dude takes out his dynamite and just stands there....mission failed in five seconds...

    -shakes fist-

It's funny how poor design choices by Rockstar are now called "cheating". I was hoping their solution for this would be Rockstar not tacking on multiplayer in their games anymore.

I hated getting shot at and killed when I'm trying to complete challenges. It's easier to do it in your own private game.

I tried multiplayer a few times. Sticking you in an open world 'lobby' where people are willy-nilly killing me made it so I could never get to the type of game I want to be in. I don't know how to start the co-op missions, nor how to create a posse, nor how to build a team based deathmatch game, nor how to play poker. Give me a menu with words instead of sticking me into a world where I'm on a donkey running from people trying to kill me.

There are three types of gamers I hate most. 1st are the Fanboys. Get over yourselves, you aren't real gamers if you purposely and willingly refuse to actually experience everything gaming has to offer. Many gamers out there, who aren't bias, are open to gaming as a whole. They would never not play a game simply because of the console it appears on. They are real gamers. Fanboys are fake gamers. Deal with it.

The 2nd group are the pirates. Your nothing but a bunch of common thieves who justify their thefts under thinly veiled excuses. You steal and that's that, you can continue to tell yourself you werent going to buy the game in the first place but it doesn't change a thing. You know deep down that your still a thief. The next time a judge lets go a guy who stole a car from a car dealer because his lawyers said "It's ok, he never planned on buying it in the first place" i'll take back everything I said.

The 3rd group is cheaters. They are low. Beyond low. People just want to have fun. They want to relax afer a hard days work or just have fun after coming home from school and these honest gamers have to now deal with insecure scum who can't just play the game the way it was meant to be played because of their inability to win. So, they cheat. Not only do they cheat, but they forever label themselves as scum.
