MTV Games and Harmonix revealed today that their upcoming rocking band simulator Rock Band 3 will be released on October 26. In addition, the games various pre-order deals have also been detailed.
GameStop is offering PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners three exclusive tracks with their preorders: “Burning Down the House” by the Talking Heads, “My Own Summer” by Deftones, and “Blue Monday” by New Order. No word yet on whether these tracks will be available for purchase by all players sometime after the game launches.
Pre-order with Amazon and you’ll receive an exclusive in-game guitar and, for a limited time, a $10 eGift card if you preorder the PS3 or 360 version. Similarly, Walmart will throw in a $10 gift card when you pre-order the game for PS3, 360, or Wii.

Several factors will determine my purchase; First of all the money I spent to import all the rockband add ons to RB2, do I have to spend more money to send them to 3? Will you be able to import them at all? WHAT THE HELL IS THE PRICE POINT FOR THE SQUIAR STRAT? I mean really is it so expensive they are afraid to tell us? Are they going to sell kits to upgrade drums from RB2-RB3? I mean out with the info already! No preorder till I get the info!
P.S. Will someone please tell me why there is no Pink Floyd?!?

I will wait and see how well the new guitar with strings actually helps someone learn how to play the guitar, then and only then will i even buy this game.

im pre-ordering but only because i love rockand the pre-order incentives suck, infact im not liking the keyboard cuz all that means is crappy 80'[s bands but pro mode OMG!!!

The bonuses are unappealing. I want the game but I don't know if I'm going to pay the launch price. Or if I'm going to finally upgrade the toys. I'm still using the ones from RB1 and GH3. Surely with all the revisions a full band kit is going to be wallet-draining...
