Judging from the response to the news of the cancelation of Xbox Live game show 1 Vs. 100, a lot of our readers are very sad that the show is going away -- Lord knows I am. The loss of any online video game where I am consistently in the top 5 percent of players is bound to make me depressed*.
But if you and I are sad, imagine how we'd feel if we also lost our jobs. That's the predicament that 1 Vs. 100 host host Chris Cashman finds himself in, so he made a youtube video to properly mourn. Over depressing music, Cashman looks into the camera and intones:
"I'll never forget you. Any of you... Well, eventually I will, but not for a couple of days."

It was canceled because MS forgot to charge you to play it. It will be back in an "improved" version, but it will cost you.

This was the only game I actually did make an appointment for and sat down and played on a regular basis. The variety of topics in the Primetime Channel made sure that almost everyone found something they enjoyed. It's pretty unbelievable that Microsoft could not find a business model that made profit for them with this game considering that it was subsidized by Sprint and the prizes were all virtual points and download codes that cost Microsoft nothing. One reasonable scenario may be that the creators of 1 vs. 100 the TV show wanted such a big cut for the third season that it became unprofitable. Presumable this closes down the Primetime Channel as well since 1 vs. 100 was the only show ever released and apparently the executive who was pushing it has moved on from Microsoft. I just hope they didn't kill this game to free up resources for that silly Kinect controller that no one will buy.
ihappy :(

I looked for this game on xbox live for over a year and never found it in the marketplace. I call 18004myxbox and they had no idea what game I was talking about or where to find it.

Chris Cashman,
I didnt know who you were before 1 v 100. I thought you sucked really bad hosting 1v100. Your jokes were not funny and I literally had to mute my tv while playing the game. Now I know why I never heard of you. Im sure Ill never see and/or hear you again in the future. Entertainment is not your calling. This world needs ditch diggers too.
PS. You have a face for radio.

This game was horrible. I am so happy that it's gone I can't even explain. The concept of 1v100 was cool but it was stupid when someone could just keep hitting a random button over and over again with no regard as to how many questions they get wrong as long as they get the "speed bonus" and would beat me (someone who would get most of the questions) and they would beat me by about 15,000 point because of this. This game was seriously flawed from the beginning.
