PopCap Games confirmed today that their survival-horticultural (trademarked) title Plants vs. Zombies will be released in September on Xbox Live Arcade.
The XBLA version will feature two new multiplayer modes (coop and versus), 12 achievements and 21 mini-games, including one inspired by Heavy Weapons. The game will also feature a “neighborhood” of sorts that will let players build their own houses and visit other people’s houses as well to check out their game progress.
Plants vs. Zombies will also receive a boxed 360 edition that will come with Zuma and Peggle, and there will also be a Game of the Year edition released for PC and Mac. Both editions will be released later this year and will retail for $19.99.
Last week, PopCap teased something PvZ-related for August 2. I'd assumed it would have something to do with either the XBLA version, or a possible sequel announcement. The latter possibility is looking even more likely now.

I have a feeling that it's going to be 1200 MS points, but since I love the original, and my friend and I are itching to play co-op, I'm buying this, and the GotY edition so I can make my own "freakbag" with the Zombatar.

I'll buy it if its under $5, anything higher than that is a pass.

It's a great game but i got it for my iTouch for $2.99. I doubt it will be that cheap on XBL.
