Capcom today announced that Mega Man Universe is coming to Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. According to Capcom, the game will be "a revolutionary take on the seminal classic, setting course for a new chapter in classic gaming."

Maddeningly few details were revealed, though a just-released trailer seems to indicate the presence of other classic Capcom characters and perhaps the ability to use the powers from other games within the Mega Man Universe. (The teaser will also fill you with boundless joy.)

Mega Man Universe should be fully revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2010 on July 22, and guess who will be there? G4, of course. We'll be playing games, interviewing the celebrities, breaking news, breaking necks, and otherwise making a nuisance of ourselves -- I even hear there will be a G4TV.com tweet-up, if you want the once-in-a-lifetime chance to actually meet Mike D'Alonzo and Dana Vinson! Hold me back!

Seriously, though. We'll be bringing you a wall-to-wall coverage of Comic Con for five days straight, including everything we learn about Mega Man Universe, so don't sleep, and check out our Comic Con mega site!
