James Bond Blood Stone

Activision and Bizarre Creations today unveiled James Bond: Blood Stone, an "explosive" third-person action game that will feature "full-throttle, behind-the-wheel action on land and sea while using the most high tech gadgetry known to James Bond 007, the world’s most skilled secret agent." Not only that, the game's Bond Girl is Grammy-winning singer Joss Stone who will join Daniel Craig and Judi Dench. Stone will provide original music for the game as well.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond,” said David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing. “In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle as teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales.”

Here's the official game description:

Daniel Craig, Joss Stone and Judi Dench and features an epic, original story developed by legendary screenwriter Bruce Feirstein. Players can engage in cover-based firefights, lethal hand-to-hand combat and speed their way through explosive adrenaline-fuelled driving sequences as they embark on a global chase leading to action on land and sea through Athens, Istanbul, Monaco and Bangkok. Gamers can also feel what it is like to be a 00 agent, as they take the battle online in several robust 16-person multi-player modes that require skill, teamwork and strategy as players compete in matches that will have spies battling mercenaries.

Bizzare is behind the Project Gotham Racing series and Blur, so the driving sequences are sure to be top-notch. Watch the reveal trailer below before it self-destructs.

With MGM's current problem, these two games seem to be the best way to keep the franchise in the publics eye. That being said, so far this game looks to be good. Hopefully they don't fall prey to the problems Alpha Protocol had (even though I liked that game). I have high hopes for this so far, but I need to see some more gameplay footage.

a new bond movie must be coming out soon because daniel craig is doing the wii goldeneye remake and now this james bond game. They must be trying to get people hyped on bond before the movie comes out but based on that trailer i think this game is going to be bad. I just hope they include some gadgets in this game.

Holy crap! This AND a GoldenEye wii-make? Its a good time to be a Bond fan! And I'm glad to see more Craig-Bond since there probably won't be a movie for a few years.

This and a GoldenEye wii-make?! Its a good time to be a Bond fan. Also its nice to see driving return to the games. And its nice to see more Daniel Craig Bond, because there sadly won't be another movie for a while...

At first glance, this reminds me of Everything Or Nothing, the 007 game that EA did with Pierce Brosnan that they promoted like it was a Bond movie.

Bizarre did The Club, and they've done plenty of driving games. At minimum, this one'll probably come out okay.

I have a feeling that they're going to be sorry that they didn't wait to reveal PVP in this one instead of the re-hash from N64.

Alright so the CUTSCENES look sweet, but I think we glimpsed a total of... what 2.5 seconds of actual gameplay? Still looks cool, but I'm gonna wait for a gameplay trailer.

Just the fact that they are building a stand-alone Bond game without a movie tie in tells me there's much more potential for a quality game, and a budget that will allow that to happen. I will keep my eye on this...

With MGM having canceled the next Bond film, this might be the only original property we get for the next few years. It looks fun.

    ...

I wish they'd put some Joss Stone into the trailer. I need more Joss Stone in my life.

I always loved 007 games. As bad as Goldeneye Rouge Agent was...still liked it. Still waiting for our Agent Under Fire and NightFire remakes @(^_^)@
