Zombie Studios' Blacklight: Tango Down is a new downloadable multiplayer shooter that purports to give you countless customizable options for weapon layouts. Could it be the cure for your summertime gaming blues? Jeremy Zoss gave it a spin, and here's a choice blurb from him:
"There’s little question that Blacklight: Tango Down offers up a multiplayer gameplay experience that’s on par with many bigger-budget shooters. The guns have a satisfying feel to them, the maps are all well-designed, and there are a bevy of multiplayer modes to choose from. As with most top-tier shooters these days, there’s a ranking system that rewards you with new levels and unlockables as you earn experience points from kills. There aren’t a lot of new ideas on display here, but the ones that Zombie included are winners."
Done with MW2 and BFBC2 and looking for the next fix? Read Jeremy's review to find out if Blacklight: Tango Down is worth some extra hard drive space!

This game is really good for 15 bucks. I never really liked MW2 that much, I only played it because nearly every one of my friends' plays it. And in this its pretty easy to jump right in, level up, rack up some kills, and have a blast doing it.

Considering this is an arcade game, it has blown what used to be known as arcade games out of the water (soul caliber 2, avenger, etc.) But considering the fact it cost money at all is insane if you have a DSL connection. If anyone wants a great FPS with excellent 16 v 16 multiplayer, go online and google a game called Combat Arms by Nexon. It has tones of guns, plenty avalable from the start. Alot of mods, a great way to separate players in different rooms by KDR, a nicely paced ranking system and, its completly free!

If this is an arcade game like I think it is, good for them. Maybe we will start seeing cheaper shooters with a few flaws, rather then $40-$60 for a piece of crap on a disc. Maybe more money is not always the answer to create a decent game. I'm definitely gonna check this one out!

IMO this never looked like anything worthwhile, just another FPS.
