The developers of the madly anticipated Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS have revealed that they are currently testing an online versus mode for their long awaited franchise revisit.
“There could be some versus play but we can’t go into any detail,” developer Masahiro Sakurai tells GamesMaster Magazine. “There are a lot of capabilities that expand on what was in the DS that people are taking advantage of.”
Seeing Kid Icarus in 3D will surely be enough to melt many a fanboy’s mind, but Kid Icarus multiplayer in 3D? Is Nintendo trying to kill us?

it better be ONLINE and NOT limited to 4- to 8-players in one room.

It won't surprise me if the 3DS has great multiplayer capabilities. This thing is going to be BIG.
