It looks like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's release date has been pushed back until March 2011. The last we heard, the high-tech shooter was scheduled for a February 2011 launch; Ubisoft announced the slight delay at a press event in Europe.
That's the bad news. The good news: According to Ubi, no further delays will be tolerated, so you can mark the March 2011 release date down on your calendar in pen.
"Why should I care?" you may be asking. "I'm not going to be playing it. Future Me will be, and he's kind of a jerk."
Okay, you have a point. But here's an interview with one of the game's creator for your Present Self to remember in the Future. Then, when the Past and Future collide in March, you can play this video game...unless you have a time machine, of course.

gratz to ubisoft....finally a production value game that will substain to its name...reservation is counting down and my wait is growing weaker

i hope that this wait wold give ubisoft some tie to fix the bugs. I'd rather wait a year and have a kickass product than have it rushed into production with bugs

Not much of a surprise for me.
I didn't even know it was supposed to come out on February; last I heard was just "Q1 2011".
So even though it got "pushed back a month", its still in the same Q1 window. {{shrug}}
The only difference now is..it'll have to contend with Red Faction: Armageddon, and w|e other games will come out in March.

Tell ya what, most of what I seen doesn't appeal to me. the Light bending cloaking devices and all. Seems too furture for my likes. I Would really love for this game to drop same day as CoD and Dominate it!
(Cold War CoD doesn't appeal to me at all)

Another Ubisoft title, with all these delays 2010/11 is starting to feel like 2009. But this is a good thing less competition for that other shooter I'm hyoed to play, ehem KZ3. However, there's probably still some tension of they're trying to avoid competition there's still inFAMOUS 2 that doesn't have a release date but hey, Future Soldier should be able to hold it's own.

I find this convenient giving me more room to buy this game between others. Also good to know that Ubisoft is putting more time into the game so it's ready for release.
